
Becoming an Adaptive Fitness Partner
Public gyms and recreation centers receive the following as part of our Adaptive Fitness Training Program:
- Specialized training from trained exercise specialists for your staff of up to 20 staff members
- Access to online virtual training materials specially designed to introduce adaptive exercise
- A pair of Active Hands, a tool that can make many regular pieces of gym equipment adaptive
- A NeuAbility certificate of completion that your gym or recreation has completed the NeuAbility Adaptive Fitness Training Program
In return, Adaptive Fitness Training Program partners receive meaningful visibility through mentions on www.NeuAbility.org and also NeuAbility’s social media accounts. This is considered to be a $1,500 value for your gym or recreation center.
Requirements:
- A desire to be a more adaptive gym or recreation center
- A need for more staff training in adaptive exercise
- Completion of registration form
- An in-person training of 1 to 2 hours by a NeuAbility Adaptive Exercise Specialist
- If selected for Active Hands, a signed agreement that your facility will utilize this tool in accordance with provided training
The value of the Inclusive Fitness Program is considered to be $1,500 and is generously funded through a grant from the Colorado Disability Opportunity Office.
